  1. i recently got a movie of type avi that has ac3 audio and i need to extract to wav and im not sure what can do this.

    it plays in windows media slayer but i need to convert to vcd and audio isnt recognized by tmpgenc but video is.

  2. I had the same prob for ages and couldnt find anything that would work. I finally found a app called avi2vcd. Within this, there is a application called Decompress. Use this to open the existing .avi and save as a new one with pcm audio. The file size will change but it semes to do is reconvert the audio/video into a format that can be understood by Virtual dub and tmpegenc. Hope this works for you.
