    Search Comp PM
Go to Merge & Cut. Press the Add button & select the file you want to edit. the mpeg file should appear in the window. Highlight the file & select edit. The video should appear. You can play the video or use the slider to the place you want to cut. There should be two buttons look like { & }. This is for you to choose where to start & end the video. After this is done, press OK. This should bring you back to the Merge & Cut window. With the newer versions of Tmpegenc, you may see an error msg, just ignore it by pressing Enter.

Enter the new file name and run the program. Make sure to check the mpeg format, i.e. standard mpeg, non-standard, or Mpeg2 ... etc. Sometimes if you have a big file, and you start the cut in the middle of the file, Tmpegenc will do a search, which your computer may look like it freezes up, don't worry, it is running, as long as you still see the HD light on your computer flashing.

    Hope this will help.

What does this have to do with "splicing" the video?

  4. It seems siadodo was describing trimming the vid, not splicing. To join mpeg vids together, be on the Merge & Cut Tab, use the Add button to put the files into the list box, enter a name for the output file, and press Run. Since no encodng occurs, the processing is pretty quick.

    Hope this helps.
