I have a navigation system in my truck and I wanted to make a copy of the navigation disk. How can I do that? I have a dvd writer and dvd x copy software.

Just use dvddecrypter in Iso read, then Iso write to burn it.

can you elaborate more on this process. Do I just stick the nav dvd in the writer then have the decrypter copy it to the hard drive? Once I copy it to the hard drive what do I do next in order to get it on a dvd? Do I need a dvd burning program? I have dvd x copy and sure if that is going to work.

1. Download and install DVDDecrypter (free).
2. Put the source disk in the dvd drive.
3. Select Iso Read in DVD decrypter.
4. Select your source drive, select a destination and file name, start DVDDecrypter.
5. When copying is finished select Iso Write in DVDDecrypter.
6. Put a blank in the DVD writer, select your source file (see step 4) start writing with DVDDecrypter."Art is making something out of nothing and selling it." - Frank Zappa -
I've been trying to copy a navigation CD with no luck....so it just might not work. I haven't tried everything in my arsenal yet but it doesn't look very promising from what I've read on various websites.

Try dvdfab decrypter and then us dvdshrink to create ISO, then burn ISO with dvd decrypter

The OP might have a navigation DVD....I have the CD version. SORRY for the added confusion.
CloneCD was the first thing I tried....saved to an .iso then reburned. I've also been told to try copy on the fly at the slowest speed obtainable.
Mine(CD) comes from a factory VW sat/nav system....from what I've read they are virtually impossible to copy. -
my navigation dvd is from a toyota. From what I read I hope I can make a copy of it.

Sounds like you will need a dual layer disk for the Toyota DVD. More here: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?threadid=7608

Yea....my navigation CD requires a 90 minute CD....no problem in that area for me but the protection is still top notch.
A dual layer DVD would have been my guess as well.
