I have downloaded Honestech TVR 2.0 (trial) and qualitywise found it a product suitable for my needs especilally doe to the superb scheduler. I am having one problem and do not know how to solve it. The solution of this will determine my decision to buy or not to buy this software (TVR 2.0).
When viewing TV the mixer device is Realtek HD audio rear output. At this stage playback shows line options while recording line options are absent. (jack from TV tuner device is plugged into line-in) With these settings if i record no audio is recorded.
For recording i HAVE to switch the mixer device to Linein/mic in at whcih stage Playback is blanked and Recording shows line options. If i record now the audio too gets recorded
HERE IS THE PROBLEM - after recording i shuit off TVR or the scheduler does it and when i start TVR again the program crashes. I have found out exactly why this is happening. The setting remains on the mixer device for recording and later when i open TVR (for playback) it reads the recording setting device and crashes (and offers to send MS an erro report) forcing me to reinstall your trial program,
If i watch TV and turn off and again watch Tv later the program will not crash as the recording device settings have not come into efect.
If after recording i change the settings back to playback the crash will not happen the next time i turn TVR on but this is not possible in case of scheduled recordings where TVR is shutdown or my PC is shutdown
IN OTHER WORDS THIS ONLY HAPPENS WHEN I USE RECORDING MODE AFTER PLAYBACK MODE WHICH MEANS I HAVE TO CHANGE THE MIXER DEVICE FOLLOWED BY MY NOT SETTING IT BACK TO PLAYBACK MIXER DEVICE.
I hope i am making sense and maybe someone who has experienced this problem may guide me in its solution
