    I run the latest version and already have the codec (divx 4.0 installed I can play the file in media player) however I can't open it in TMPGEnc???? can someone help plz....

    Send a message via AIM to sean madison
    open tmpgenc, go to options, environmental settings, then far right tab that holds all ur plugins.
    Move the Directshow multimedia plugin to priority of 5
    Leave everything else alone.
    Close out of it and reimport ur movie

    Go to environment settings.

    Select VFAPI tab.

    Increase AVI VFW compatibilty reader to priority 1.


    Don't ask me what exaclty what it does, I don't know. But it works.
