    Any recommended program tat convert a avi file (Xvid, Ogg) to avi (Xvid, mp3) ?

    Virtualdubmod to demux the ogg audio. An audio convertor to convert it to mp3, then virtualdubmod to mux it back again. Haven't needed to deal with ogg audio, so I can recommend a particular program. You should not have to change the video at all through this process, unless you have another reason to do so.

    BeLight is usually ok for converting ogg to mp3

    If it really is an avi then you might have problems demuxing it. ogg vorbis in avi is not a good idea. Could be that you have an ogm file though.

    Personally, I'd use mencoder since it can remux the video and convert the audio to mp3 in one go.
