  1. I have some Mpeg files that I tried to merge with a piece of software called Camel's Mpeg joiner. It didn't tun out very good. The first merged part plays nice, and then when the second part starts playing, the audio keeps playing, but the video has froze. I was wondering if anyone can give me any tips on how to perform such a merge. I read from the docs of the app that the files have to be the same bitrate, frame rate, etc. They are, as they came from the same tv show, recorded with a pioneer dvd recorder.

thanx for any help, in advance.

You could try TMPGEnc encoders merge function, it may work better. But if your final destination is a DVD, don't merge them, just put them individually into a authoring program such as TMPGEnc DVD Author and let that program do the 'joining'. That's usually the best way to avoid sync problems. I'm assuming each one plays alright by itself, the problem just starts after they are merged?

They may also have some corrupted frames or audio that is causing the problem. But you should see that when you play them individually.
