"Input Error: Reached end of VOB too early"
I got this error in VOB no.5, i think its one of the menu's but in not sure...
I got the files from a copy of the movie which works great... but after i reauthor it with VobBlanker i get the error... i tried reauthoring with IFOEdit aswell and i get the same error.
is there a way to repair the VOB or something?

  2. You can try and do a Get VTS Sectors in IFOEdit. Next I would try running it through FixVTS. But they might not work. It sounds like there's something wrong with the DVD. The fact that it plays on your player doesn't really mean it's OK. Why do you have to use VobBlanker anyway, if it plays OK for you?

Because the movie doesnt have hebrew subtitles... so i demuxed it and replaced the spanish subs with the hebrew one i downloaded, and the i remuxed it.. now all is left to do is reauthor the movie... which i cant do.
how do i do this "Get VTS Sectors" in IFOEdit.. which IFO do i need to open? the that does the problem? or the main one? or the movie VOB IFO?

  4. To do a Get VTS Sectors in IFOEdit, open any of the IFOs. It's going to check the entire DVD.

If I understand you correctly, you reauthored the movie itself, with the new subs, maybe using Muxman. Now you want to use the "Replace" button in Vobblanker to put the movie with the new subs back into the original DVD, so you can keep the menu and maybe any extras, is that right? But VobBlanker won't open the original DVD? Is that also right?

Well, I haven't had much experience with funky DVDs, as I don't play with downloaded ones, but the original retail DVDs. So, my knowledge and experience is somewhat limited. Here's some things I would try. Do the Get VTS Sectors in IFOEdit. Run the problem Vob (or maybe the entire DVD) through FixVTS. Open the DVD in PGCEdit and see if it will either fix it or give you a more informative error message. And if none of that fixes it so it will open in VobBlanker, finally I would sugges doing a Mock Strip which can often work wonders to clean up screwed up DVDs:

Ok, so maybe now you can help me...
I did this Mock strip to the problematic VOB and it fixed the problem in Vobblanker... i dont get the error anymore.
But now i have a differant problem... when i press the "Play" button on the menu screen, it sends me back to the first screen where i choose the menu language. and there im stuck... no matter what i press it doenst respond.. like a loop to the same menu.
Is there a way to change the effect of the "Play" button? that instead of sending me to start menu it will send me to the movie?

  6. It didn't do that before?

There are some things you can do, but it's kind of hard to diagnose these things from thousands of miles away. PGCEdit is your friend here. You still have the original DVD don't you? Open the original, and open the Mock Stripped one. Open 2 instances of PGCEdit. You want to compare the menu commands in the original with the "fixed" one, and probably stick the original ones (that one worked, didn't it?) into the fixed one. The way you do this is to find the menu(s) you want to fix and highlight it, right-click it, and hit "Menu Buttons". Then you'll have a number of choices. You can export and import commands. That is, you can copy the menu commands from the old DVD to the new one, either one button at a time, or for the whole menu (Edit->Edit->Copy Whole Menu, and then Paste Whole Menu in the other DVD.

You'll have to study the menu commands carefully to see what they do, and then Export and Import, or Copy and Paste very carefully, testing carefully when done. One good thing about PGCEdit is that it saves your original IFOs when you open the DVD for the first time, and when saving after making those menu changes, it'll ask you if you want to save the old menu. So, if you screw up, you can replace everything and start over again. Good luck.
