I want to make a "montage" of scenes of a tv series I'm burning, but i need to know how to do that, I just want to be able to have a transition between them like fading into eachother, ect. I also want a song to play over it, and if it can be done, have audio from the show sometimes too, but if not then that's fine.

I am going to get dvdlab pro and I have the nero that came with my computer, plus power dvd.

by the way, what does clips mean in the dvdlab? what is it for?

    thank you

transitions, fadings and such are editing so you need an editing tool, like premiere elements, vegas movie studio, ulead videostudio.

  5. (Real) freeware: Avisynth (but it is not a 'trivial' piece of software...)

If I got the Ulead® MediaStudio 6.5 Director's Cut would it be able to use the format video_ts that the dvdlab can use.

I don't want to have to convert it like you do for windows movie maker.

as long as you can save your work as dvd spec mpeg (or vobs) which is what dvdlab needs as input it'll work.

    I have one more question,

I converted a movie that I recorded on my dvd recorder and I used dvd shrink to put it on my computer, when I go into dvdlab my movie is in 5 vts files and they are only 30 minutes, how do i get them into 1 long movie file instead of only 30 minutes?
Or if that is the way to do it, then how do I get all 5 files to play like a normal movie would play, all together?

    thanks

Read the "Assets window" chapter in the help file of dvdlab and it will tell you everything you need to know to do what you want to do.
