    I tried decrypting Memoirs of a Geisha and Hostel but received and I/O error. DVD Decrytper had 21 read errors for both movies before failing I can't get pass 2% - 3% of decrypting before the process fails. I uninstalled Decrypter and re-installed but the issue is still happening.

    Hopefully my attachment is attached.

    Could be a dirty disc or new copy protection. Try dvdfabdecrypter.

    I used DVDFab Decrypter to rip Memoirs of a Geisha to my HDD and encoded with DVD Shrink (taking out the extras) and it worked. Oh yeah I also returned the previous copy of the movie and got another copy with no scratches or dings.

    Had the same problem with Hostel. After watching it though I decided I didn't need a back-up
