  1. All right, here's the output :

    Code:
Encoding started on Mon May 8 14:45:52 CEST 2006
    dyld: /Library/Application Support/ffmpegX/mencoder Undefined symbols:
/Library/Application Support/ffmpegX/mencoder undefined reference to _exp2f expected to be defined in /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib
/Library/Application Support/ffmpegX/mencoder undefined reference to _sqrtf expected to be defined in /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib
It seems to be the same for all the test files.

  2. Something missing in your system.. Which OSX version are you running?

  3. I'm running OS X 10.3.5. And I can't to go further (10.3.9) anytime soon for compatibility reasons with other apps that I have. So I need to keep 10.3.5 in any case.

The weird thing is that with the previous ffmpegX (0.0.9t r4) and OS X 10.3.5, everything was OK...

  4. Use the older binaries with 0.0.9w then. At startup the application will complain, but you can hit cancel and it should work normally.

  5. I've reverted to these older binaries :
    - http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/mplayerosx/ffmpegXbinaries20050814.zip

    ffmpegX 0.0.9t r4 works again !
And so does ffmpegX 0.0.9w (OK, it complains as expected, but it works)
Thank you very much major. 8)

So my question is : with the older binaries, is it really interesting to keep the 0.0.9w version that complains every time, or shall I keep my older 0.09t r4 version instead, hoping that future binaries will be "more X.3.5 compatible" and will allow me to install the latest ffmpegX without hassle ? I hope this is not a stupid question. What do you think major ?

  6. If you don't care about the new features (see http://ffmpegx.com/news.html ), you can keep the older version of the application.

  7. You are right : I don't need support for Intel, PSP, iPod, or .FLV, so I think I'll keep the t_r4 version for the moment. I just hope that future versions won't be "Tiger only" !

Thanks again major, and keep up the good work.
