Hi,
I've fairly new to capturing and i've got a Atholon XP 1800 w/256 ram and ATI Radeon VIVO 64mb running WinXP.
Now I've been looking around the forums and i see a lot of people having problems with capturing coz of frame drops, i've tried Disabling windows buffer system, playing with the number of chunks and chunk sizes, nothing works, I always get about 2 frames dropped per second when i capture.
Then I discovered that those 2 frames per second drop are because i set the audio compression to mp3. As soon as i set it to CD quality, the frame drops are about 2 for a WHOLE HOUR.
So some ppl check this, coz that might be your problem.
NOw i got a small question, Now that i capture in cd quality, my DIVX movies come out very big in size. Can someone tell me how i can convert the cd quality audio in the DIVX i captured to mp3 so that the size is reasonable??
i tried extracting the wav then converting to mp3, but then i don't know how to put the mp3 into the AVI instead of the wav, can anyone help??
Thanks
