I "acquire" .avi files of tv shows that I miss when I'm at work. I imagine that these are "tivo" captures converted then uploaded. The vast majority of the time files I "acquire" of NBC, ABC, and, occasionally, Fox, and various cable networks playback fine, especially after I run them through VirtualDub MP3 Freeze. But, ones from CBS shiver then go to out of sync all the time. Is this something peculiar to CBS, and, their HD process? (I should've mentioned that all the broadcast netwrok shows are converted from HD broadcasts.) Or, what? I'm just curious, the present season is almost over, and, the answer won't make a difference again until fall.
    Thanks.

I see a lot of people (relatively) have viewed this, but nobody, apparently, could answer my question. I still don't know if there is a difference between CBS HD formating, and, the other broadcast networks. But I began to notice that the dubs from the other networks were losing sync when I converted them, even when I used VirtualDub MP3 Freeze. So I "bit the bullet" got Goldwave, which somebody suggested when I originally asked about out of sync tv dubs. THe process is more involved, needing mores steps than if I just used VirtualDub MP3 Freeze, but through 5 dubs, so far, have not had the problem of losing sync.
