Hllo, As a relative newbie, I ask is there a program that can remove logos / comments etc from video files. These appear at random throughout the movie. Thanks in advance, Wayne (aka Walpoo)

Sort of.
VirtualDub has a logo filter available that can remove those. When they move around or are random throughout the file, it's much harder. And you may end up with a distracting blurred area where the logo used to be.
But give it a try. If it's MPEG format, VirtualDub Mod will work. Here's one guide:

You can find many more VD filters at: http://neuron2.net/ -
Basically - No, not without a trace. You could filter it thru VirtualDub using some delogo filter, but it takes a reencode, affecting the quality of the whole movie.

I find the blurred after affects of the removal just as annoying as the original logo. I wouldn't waste any time trying to remove it.
