    OK I can capture with the PV-231 in VCD format, great, Nero will do it's thing without error, I can watch it OK...Now if I cut the original with anything, NERO will not read it as a valid VCD format. Question is why? I have tried to use Ifilm Edit, TPMEGnc, makes no difference. The settings are for VCD in all the edit programs. So how can I cut a large file and burn with Nero. Many thanks in advance.

    Use CinePlayer Editor (formerly Ifilm Edit). Just be sure to activate the VideoCD option in the Preferences/VideoCD Options menu. Nero will accept and burn it.
