I did an audio mixdown of my music in nuendo and generated 6 dirrerent tracks of audio. Front right and left, rear right and left, center, subwoofer. I then used sonic foundry's soft encoder to encode this as a dolby digital file. Using Nero to burn this as an audio CD, it plays in full surround sound glory on my samsung 711 dvd player hooked up digitally to my home theater system.
DO NOT USE ANALOG OUTPUT FROM THE DVD PLAYER! IT WILL PLAY JUST THE DIGITAL DATA, BURN UP YOUR SPEAKER, AND CAUSE PARTIAL HEARING LOSS. TEMPORARY I HOPE.
