If having a DC, I’m sure that you’ll shoot bundles of photos. And these photos will sooner or later take up much space of your hard disk. This problem troubles me a lot, have you ever met the same problem? If you do, please follow my steps to create a photo slideshow and burn DVD/SVCD/VCD for storing forever.
BTW. The software I use is, which gets a 4-star rating both of CNET editor and users in Download.com

    1. Start up. Click “New” and choose the “New Photo Slideshow” to add your photos. You can add one by one or simply use “Add all”. Choose YES to add more from other folders and NO to finish adding.
    2. Edit. Editing tools like Rotate, Flip, Brightness, Blur, Contrast, Mosaic and Filter, are included. You can also click Decorate to add texts and clips for each photo. The slideshow looks better if being optimized beforehand.
    3. Motion and Transition effects. Select you fond one and apply to the photo. But I suggest to click the Random Effect to all button, then make a little modification. It saves lots of time, especially when too many photos staying on the story line.
    4. Music and narration. Whether to add music and narration to single photo or background music depends on you. If you do, you can make a clip of the music or narration through setting a Begin Time and an End Time, trim the volume and make a Fade in and Fade out effect to your music or narration.
    5. Create template menu. Choose one from the template list. The text and frame can be modification if you need.
    6. Share your story to a DVD. Choose Burn to disc, Create disc image, Create MPEG file and Create DVD file. After finishing the setting, click the Start. Then you’ll get your wonderful DVD slideshow.
