I found over 15 articles on autorunable vcd's but they all seem to indicate that it's only possible when playing the vcd's on a pc, what about on the standalone. I've seen vcd that autorun, why don't my home mades do that as well.
I burn with nero which has an autoplay=auto_on setting, and when adding simple menu's it would appear all is in order, but the end result is that when I stick my VCD in it does nothing until I hit the play button.
What am I missing or is this option just not supported.
Thanks in advance!

Whether a VCD will autorun or not on a stand-alone player is hardware dependent. It depends completely on the player. There is nothing that you can do to the VCD itself to make it autorun or not.
Some players will autorun all VCDs (e.g., my stand-alone VCD player SAST AEP-627).
Some players will only play a VCD after you press "Play" (e.g., my stand-alone DVD player SAST AEP-800).
