How can i test my drive / burning probs

Hi.

How can i test my drive to see if it's working ok.

I've had trouble burning media, i have a pioneer 110d, and i have Firmware v1.39

In regards to the media, i have used this media in the past and it has worked ok with my drive
but this latest tub, i've used 12 discs and all 12 discs have failed to burn, i think i have a faulty media but the supplier keeps telling me it's my drive and firmware.

And if i want to send them back i have to pay the P+P

Looking here http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=820 they might be CMC or they might be TTG02. I've not had a lot of sucess with either. At least buying from SVP, you know exactly what you are getting.

Although I wouldn't expect you to get 100% failure rate. Have you tried your burner with anything else?

burn a known good quality blank like a taiyo yuden amd see if it works. it's probably bad media like you think.

Since you haven't tried any other media to determine if the media is the issue I would buy myself a different brand and try it to see if there is a difference.
