I have a small problem. I have burned some vcd's (and one data disk) on CD-RW's, some with nero and some with easy cd creator 4.0. Now when I try to erase all the data on them (I have tried both Nero and Easy CD...) when its done erasing, it say "cant read table of contents". After that I havent been able to read or erase any of the CDs.
What is wrong? is it the burning proses or the erasing part or is it my cd-recorder? Can I somehow recover my lost CD-RW's?

While I have never had this particular problem, the only way to be sure is to try your discs in someone else's burner drive to see if they can be read/formatted.

My recorder is a Philips PCRW1208K/00 if someone knows about any know problems with that recorder please tell me.
This is very irritating problem, I dont want to ruin any more cd's so if someone please could help me. I'll go try it in a different recorder and we'll see what happens. -
I agree with mijman, take your CDRW's to another burner and see if you can format them there, and if they work, then it might be your burner is malefunctioning.

I tried it on another computer and it worked fine, to erase full disks that is, not to read or erase the cd's I have already wrecked.
What could be the problem with my recorder? -
Exactly what did you try ? to erase the CDRW's you have on another Recorder, or did you move your recorder to another PC ?

Then the problem could be with your CDRW drive itself, here is a suggestion, either take your drive and try it on another PC, or try checking your IDE cables, even get a new one if you can, anything can come in the way of interfering with the writing process, connect it as Single on your Secondary IDE chain, and see if you can get it to work properly.
