    Am i doing somethingwrong when i record my dvd's with this recorder. When i insert the finalized dvd, it plays the first title and doesnt go straight to the menu. is it supposed to do this?

    Hello I don't have a JVC but its normal of what your dvd is doing I have a pioneer 233s and it does the same thing when I put the dvd in it directly starts on the first title as well.

    Most DVD recorders go to the first title, not the menu.
