Any recommendations for a DVD/VCR combo player that has internal PAL->NTSC conversion on the DVD side? None of the units I've looked at in stores do this. I'm not looking for anything very fancy, and would like to keep cost down. I don't need a region-free unit. Thanks!

Good news and bad news :
A lot of DVD players can play PAL DVD, because there is only 1 and 0 on the DVD disc. I have a Daewoo DVD/VCR that can plays any DVD on a NTSC TV. So are my pioneer and JVC DVD players.
PAL signal is actually recorded on PAL tape, that only a multi-system VCR can play back on a NTSC TV.
