This error did not happen previously. I have an ATI Mobility Fire GL T2 with 128MB and full hardware acceleration enabled. Previously playing video and browsing internet pages or running other apps such as zipping/unzipping do not affect the video playback (avi, rmvb, etc). However recently it started to affect the video playback. The video/audio is delayed now everytime when these apps are activated. Basically frames and audio froze for few seconds, as if it skipped frames in every few seconds when these apps are processing.

Anyone please help what could have caused such change? Could this just be a software setting issue? Or possible CPU or memory problem? The graphic controller had been replaced, brand new and tested. Memory and CPU were tested with PC Doctor, and no problem found. Hard Drive was defragmented. Anyone who can help? Thanks ahead.

You might update/reinstall the ATI drivers. But first start up the Task Manager and see what it shows when you play a video and run another application. If you CPU is maxed out, that may be the problem. Also see if you have some other applications running in the background that are stealing CPU cycles.

    And welcome to our forums.

I did the update, but didn't try the reinstall. I'll try to do that and see. My CPU is fine, and memory is fine too. Only have 4 applications running, which are IE, windows explorer, a PHP editor and the classic media player from real alternative 1.48. The # of services running in the background never changed. Everytime when I move the PHP editor window behind the media player. The windows refreshed, and the video delayed for few seconds, until I stop moving. I watched my CPU usage, and it's always around 4-7%. I got 1 Gig memory with 400+ in excess. So I'm beginning to hallucinate that my CPU or memory could be the problem.

I'll try to reinstall the driver and see how it'll do. Any other input will be useful. Thanks.
