    Help I am trying to load a 4gig and a 1.9gig avi file to convert to mpg but the loading process stops at 8889. Is there a limit to the size of file that can be loaded into the program?

    Whao, that's big. I've load 1GB files before. I would suggest that you try frameserving your file w/ AVIsynth to TMPGenc, that should fix it (will slow down encoding very slightly).
