I'm using Ulead Video Studio 9 right now and have figured out how to take a separate audio and video source and sync them together and using Goldwave adjust the timing. What I want to do now is take 2 camera angles of the same event switching angles when I choose and mixing them down to one stream.
1) What editing software can someone who is not a novice, but not a professional use to do this? I'm getting a copy of Sony Vegas 6 from a friend and will try that out.
2) When mixing 2 sources from DV cams is the timing of the audio on the 2 any different like it is with say 1 DV source and MiniDisc audio source?

If you audio was recorded at the same time, it should be exactly the same. Once you have the two sourced synced up, they should run side by side. If they don't, there is a problem with the devices used to record them.
Vegas can do all that you need and more. It has very good timestretching and pitch correction tools as well.Read my blog here.
