There are links to the left that will take you to what you want...

    "Tools"
    "Guides"
    "Convert"
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

  3. I generally use TMPGEnc to encode them from .AVI to .MPG, and TMPGEnc DVD Author (they are separate packages) to make a DVD out of the .MPG file. It can also burn it for you.

There are loads of guides under "convert" and "author" on the toolbar on the left-hand side of your screen. You could also search by tool, which is what I generally do.

    Good luck!

  5. Hi..

I tried to convert my existing AVI files to DVD MPEG2 format using TMPGEnc DVD Author. It is producing a whopping 4 GB movie file for a single movie.

But i have to include 3 movies in a DVD. How should i attain this.

3 movies in a single DVD wil b much better cos i have loads of movies in various formats viz. avi, divx and mpg.

with which s/w should i convert all the format to a dvd compatible format to put in a single dvd.

    Help needed at once.

    TIA

Read the guides. They will tell you about the marvels of bitrate calculators and other tools that will allow you to achive what you want. Read the What is DVD section, which will tell you how much space you have to play with, and the resolutions you can use. If you want to fit three full length movies, then full resolution will be too high.

As a general rule, an avi will grow to be 3 - 4 times larger when encoded as mpeg 2 to be anywhere near the same visual quality.

I doubt it. TMPGEnc DVD Author authors only. Certainly might have been one of the TMPGEnc encoders though.

ConvertxtoDVD might be your best bet.
    If in doubt, Google it.
