I have an LG RH7823W 160GB HDD. It seems to burn at 1/1 speed. Is this about the normal speed? or would faster media help?

The manual says recording from the hard drive to DVD is dependant on the media used. 4X should burn at 4X. This is for single layer media only.
The manual can be found here.

Thanks for the reply. I have the manual, but can't see anything about actual speed times.
I have just tried the "fast burn" setting which has speeded things up a lot. I guess I should try out some faster media."Whenever I need to "get away,'' I just get away in my mind.
