  2. Well, maybe your card is somehow limited to that res, although I doubt it, check at windows update to see if they have anything available for you. If that doesnt work, you could try reinstalling the card and allow windows to redetect it. I have heard of this type of problem before but its usually when the card freaks out due to bad drivers or configuration, many cards work that way, if you put them into a res that they cant handle they switch back to the last res.

    If none of this works, it may just happen to be a bug with XP itself,keep in mind that XP is still an OS virgin that hasnt really been broken in yet.
