I recently had to reformat my hard-drive and now when I use RecordNow 7 the 110D won't burn at 16x. I'm using the same discs, the same program yet it barely gets above 10x and usually finishes at 7-8x. The whole time the LED light blinks on and off. The burns are good though....
The strange thing is if I burn with ImageBurn or Nero it will hit top speed although the LED still flashes during burns. I also have an NEC 2510 and when using it with RN there are no problems.
I have reformatted 2 times now, updated the firmware on the DVD drive, updated the BIOS on the motherboard, changed the ribbon on the DVD drive and everything else I could think of. The Pioneer is by itself on its channel set as Master.
Any ideas?

I would unistall the IDE drivers in the device manager, reboot and let Windows reinstall them, sometimes they mess up. Good Luck
