Take a look at DIKO. It might be what will work for you. A guide: https://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?guideid=835&howtoselect=3;6#835

That doesn't sound right to me - I've had 45 files loaded up at one stage.

Hmmmm .... may be a restriction of the trial version. Maybe try the old freeware version of its predecessor, divxtodvd (0.5.2) ?

    Details, man

"An error" could be anything, and we can't see your screen from here. Could you at least detail what the error was ? or alternatively screencap and upload it ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

    8 x 45 = 360 min = 6 hours. If you're using 4.7GB discs it's gonna look ordinary cramming them all onto 1 disc IMHO.
    If in doubt, Google it.

I told you earlier .... I've put 45 files in at one point but I am using a registered licensed version though.

Does it give you an error ? Is it possible that there's something wrong with file no 5 causing it to drop out ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

I haven't done 45 files, but I have done a disc with 6 30 minute episodes. It came it at about 102% of capacity and had to be shrunk to fit. 3 hours is about the max I would try using this method.

This was 45 x 3-5 minute clips I'd captured so about 180 mins all up also.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Author the mpg files. mpa is audio, mpv is video, and mpg is probably one of the mpa files muxed with one of the mpv files.
