  1. I used DVDshrink's reauthor mode, to extract the main movie, and out take, and some delete scenes. They ended up in VTS_01_x.vob, and VTS_02_x.vob..... If I burn these into a DVDR, and play it. There will be some pause, between these VOB sets, and some players can't rewind thru these VOB sets too.

I put them in a folder, and removed all their ifo, and bfo, and renamed them from VTS_01_0, to VTS_01_9.VIB. then use ifoedit to create then ifo file.

The final DVD does not plays all the way thru, and stopped.

I don't think I can use TDA, because my version does not handle dolby 5.1 sound tracks.

Any suggestions about how to make a better re-authored DVD ?

You can actually use any version of TDA with 5.1 DD sound - it should just allow it to "pass through" if you don't do any editing.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  3. You need to get out the elementary streams of M2V and AC3 (or MP2) , join them using some other editing program (eg Womble MVW DVD) and then reauthor a new DVD using any suitable authoring program.

  6. Hey, Owe you another big one.

Also, the other program can fix the packing error like ifoedit's VOB-extra is fixVTS.

So, I have to conclude the subtitle get messed up when vobedit join the clips together. Right ?

Note : As a Hayao Miyazaki fan, his early work Castle Cagliostro is the best.

  7. Er, one more. The English subtitle is always on, on PC and player. I have to force all subtitle to : normal start. I also need to go into ifoedit to set subtitle and audio language and present.

Is there another way to join the clips and preserve the subtitle and audio track propertes ?
