Hi everyone,

I currently own a WinFast TV2000 XP RM for capturing and it is doing the trick as far as video captures are concerned (I bought it as it worked with NTSC and PAL signals). I do a lot of work capturing video games consoles (from both the USA and the UK) and need that solution. Unfortunately though, it seems like the WinFast TV2000 XP RM is causing an issue in PAL mode with weird lines running down the screen, they're faint, but noticable, and as such, it's starting to lose me work as the still picture images aren't of high enough quality (especially with composite looking the same as S-Video).

And because I do a lot of work for major gaming publications, I can't rely anymore on this card to take the best possible still images or video clips in PAL mode. I keep seeing people mentioning the Hauppage WinTV PVR-250, but is it any good at still image captures (ideally .tif format)? I don't mind spending a decent bit of money to get a card that will work well in NTSC and PAL modes, and will give an excellent signal in S-Video (or preferably in RGB or HD, so I can hook my Xbox 360 up to it for the best possible quality).

Does anyone have any good recommendations on what card will do my work the best justice? As I said, I don't mind spending a bit of money to get the right results, as it will help me get more paid work as it is. I'd go up to $250/£160 if need be. Can I get a card that does NTSC & PAL and has top notch video and still image capturing? Or would I be best getting a seperate dedicated image grabber?

All help with this would be sincerely appreciated.
