I have few 1080p trailers from apple.com, they all played fine before.

    all i had installed was
    WMP10
    and Quicktime Alternative

yesterday about 4 weeks after the last time i played one of those trailers, and now i got no audio.

video plays, but progress bar isn't moving, and i can't scan thru the video. tried reinstalling QTA with no luck.

how can i fix this problem?

Best way would be either Haali or Gabest's splitter with coreavc for the video and coreaac, ffdshow or MPC's built in decoder for the audio.

No. The best way to playback qt trailers is without using quicktime at all. Not their player or their codecs. Much faster that way. ffdshow is faster at AVC decoding than quicktime, so even that would be better. CoreAVC is the fastest though.
