    1. It appears the filetype is listed as MPEG4/ISO/AVC. Which one of them is it? The program is just asking for a single filetype and three are listed. Try MPEG4.

    2. Looks like Vorbis audio. You apparently have the codec installed or you wouldn't be able to extract it. Does the sync gradually get worse or is it off the same amount for the whole video? If it is, adjust the offset. Streams>Full Processing>Interleaving>Audio skew correction. If the sync gradually changes, then the audio or video are probably of different lengths and one length will need to be adjusted. Check the file information in VDM and that might tell you.

    And welcome to our forums.

  3. Thanks but are there no way to open the MKV by virtualdubmod directly. sometimes the MKVextract gui makes some error on video or audio.

In the picture above (MKV.jpg) shows MkvExtract Gui problem

Are there no plugin that can let Virtualdubmod open MKV file directly and why many people are making MKV files instead of ogm/ogg ?

What is the best output in virtualdubmod avi in quality ? i see MPEG-4 codec V3 good is there better one

    SORRY TOO MANY QUESTIONS

Sorry, I don't work much in MKV, so not much knowledge about that. Others may have the answers.

Best quality output from VDM depends on what you want to do with the file. For quality, it would be the default raw avi, but the file size would be very big. DV would be a good choice if you need extensive editing. You would need a DV codec such as the Panasonic DV Codec for that.

For the audio/video offset for sync corrections, not all that simple. There are a couple of programs that might help: syncView or Hypercube Time Stretcher.
