Well, I think that may say it all....I'm trying to replace the fist 30 seconds of a demuxed DVD with a sequence I've created as a TGA sequence. I absolutely need something frame accurate, as the audio will be added in a later step (in DVD Lab), and importantly, I'd really really rather NOT have to re-encode the mpeg part of the video, as it's already been through a recompress once before. The TGAs I assume I'll need to encode first before joining (planning to use Vegas). Although if there's something that'll add the image sequence directly to the m2v, that'd be ideal. I've seen a couple of freeware products mentioned (Mpg2Cut2, movie joiner) and a couple of relatively inexpensive others (various iterations of the Womble editors). Can anyone recommend any of these, or something else for this specific task?
