Used MTR (and MPEG Streamclip) to capture audio stream from a DVD. This gives a complete movie sound file. Would like to edit to remove unwanted dialog. Any suggstions on the best way to capture and author a song CD?

Do you mean just cutting things out in total or do you mean remove the dialog but keep the music etc. that is playing at the same time?
The first thing is easy ... the second I have no clue.
I guess another question would be ... what is your end product? A standard CD that plays in any CD player or a MP3 file or what?
Without knowing more I will at this point suggest a popular sound editor that is inexpensive ... GoldWave. In fact GoldWave is trailware meaning you can use it (fully functional) for "X" number of processing "steps" before it locks up and requires to be "activated" by purchasing a serial key on-line. In fact you can "get away" with using GoldWave for a while before it gets to that registration point. I think you will find it usefull though and will probably willingly register/purchase it when the time comes. For what it does it is very cheap.
However until you provide more information I am unsure if GoldWave is the "best" product for your needs.
