A guy offered me a Sharp HIFI MTS Stereo VC-1799 today.
I would use it to transfer VHS tapes using my Hauppauge and also as a tuner for analog cable TV. This video has a thing they call "video enhanced" that would allow more resolution lines(something like this).
I couldn't find usefull information on Google. Does anyone know anything about this video?

Does anyone know any other device that has this "video enhanced" thing? I want to read more about it.

I don't know anything about this particular model but if I am reading correctly (it's a bit fuzzy) it looks like it is a 6-head model (very nice!) and I have heard some people on the forum praise Sharp VHS VCR units for having excellent quality.

I would buy it if the "price is right" but I don't know if I would spend "an arm and a leg" on it without finding out more about it from someone that actually knows something about this particular model.

I would pay the equivalent to 90 dolars. I think it's a good price considering I would have to spend the equivalent to 200 dolars to buy a used SVHS (and I'd need to buy a transcoder too) here.
    I think I'll buy it
