Am I the only one that no longer buys into this crap anymore?
These informercials, paid ads, and programs MOST DEFINITELY reflect the views of the station or at very least it's management.
ABC Family running programming from CBN, namely The 700 Club?
Does ABC condone religious overtones in whatever it can? You betcha!
Spike, E! and Comedy Central running Girls Gone Wild and Wild Party Girls ads?
Do these networks condone nudity and all-out wild activities? You betcha!
I guess we can now add that to the worthless disclaimers and slogans (ala "Fair & Balanced") now shown on the boob tube. More of that wink-and-nod crap. We're not all stupid, we know it's hogwash.
My thought for the day.

All channels are about the same.
The Game Show Network brought back the old show I've Got a Secret,
but it's nothing like the classic that the original show was.
In the first episode 2 nights ago they had a guy on who demonstrated
breaking pencils with his butt.
Gary Moore is probably turning over in his grave after seeing that! -
I think that's more of a disclaimer than anything, especially considering many of those infomercials tend to look like they are news program. Granted your're not going to see Girls gone wild on ABC but they are definitely within there rights as they have different standards than other stations. There bread and butter is the conservatie crowd and if they ran thos ads there could be a huge backlash. Spike TV on the other hand would relish it as free advertising since there viewers could care less if they run those ads.
