You can split it with Shrink, but you will lose the menus if you use re-author mode. Your other choice is to replace the episodes you dont want with still images, but if you are going to use that route, there are better tools available, including vobblanker or titlesetblanker.

Why not use a DL ? Is that a rhetorical question ?

I have been unsure about the high rate of coaster from dl.

I do want to keep the menues on both DVDs after the split. I do have vob blanker. Does that help with this?

    Thanks

I appreciate the help. I just finished reading the guide you linked.

I guess some time will have to be spent to learn this.

Dosnt dvd fab have a simpler wizard type program for $$$.

I checked prices on DL. $3.00 each. I guess that cuts that out, unless it is a movie. but foe season type shows changing dvds is expected.

There are a few payware programs to do this - DVD Fab, DVD Remake Pro etc. DVD Remake Pro is probably the best of the payware methods. Have a look at this tutorial for using it to split an episodic disc, preserve the menus, and remove the buttons that no longer work http://www.deano.dsl.pipex.com/dvdremake/guides/episodesplit.htm
