Pretty easy in Firefox. Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Cookies -> Exceptions. Type in the site exactly, click "Block". I hardly ever use IE anymore, so someone else can address that. Good luck.
[EDIT] Eh, pretty much the same in IE. Tools -> Internet Options -> Privacy -> Sites. Type it in, hit "Block".Pull! Bang! Darn! -

I find it's easier to disable for all sites then only allow the ones you want: tools>internet options>privacy>advanced
1. Check the box next to "override automatic cookie handling"
2. Under first party and third party cookies select block and put a check next to "allow session cookies".
Hit OK hit the sites button and next to the managed sites list select "remove all" Click the general tab and hit the delete temp internet files and hit the delete cokies button. This will start you off from scratch.
You will now be blocking all cookies from every site. If you need to enable a cookie for a site such as this one (you can't use auto login unles you enable cookies) you'll see a little red icon that looks like a Do not enter sign in the lower right of the browser. Double click it and it will bring up a list of the blocked cookies from that site. Right click the site you want to allow and select allow cookies from this site. Be aware that many sites will attempt to put other cookies from other sites, you should only have to enable the ones for that site for it work properly if you need them.
