Hi there, so here's the deal, I was trying to reauthor a DVd that was done on my stand-alone burner to add chapters menue ext. When I load it into TMPGnc dvd author it only reads the 1st title , but not the 2nd title, same with the mpeg editer tool. DVDshrink won'topen the folder at all.
This dvd will play on my computer, ond on my dvd player, and on the disc, the vob files are there for both titles( and play) but no editing programs will read the 2nd title.
so, I guess my question is: is there a way to load the 4 Vob. files for the 2nd chapter into a program & reauthor a dvd? ( Like I said, the Vobs are there, so I don't know why no editing program see's them!
    Thanks,Mike
By the way, already tried ISObuster still didn't work. The problem doesn't seem to be with the files themselves, jut the navigation or something.

    What is the DVD recorder?

Is this recorded on DVD-RAM media? If this is the case, it's a .vro file instead of .vob

If it is DVD-RAM, I've always been able to read multiple titles with TDA, but not with
MPEG2VCR or other programs - using a Toshiba or Panasonic drive.

If it's DVD-RW: Others will have to help - I only have experience thus far with -R & RAM media recorded on standalones.

    Good Luck

Hi there, yes I always rip with DVDDecrypter, & it is a reg DVD+r disc.
That's what is weird, it rips no problem with DVDDecrypter, but DVDShrink won't even open it
And if I just try to play the vob. files for the 2nd chapter they play fine. That's why I wish to just load the vob files inta a program & make a new dvd that way, because when I load the video_ts folder into an editing program it only sees the 1st title. Thanks

So: rip each title separatley. Convert each title with vob2mpg to mpg. Reauthor. An already authored DVD was never intended to become source material for authoring a new DVD - what support there is, seems incomplete, at best.

So how do I rip each title separately? I mean I know I can tell DVDDecrypter to rip what I want, but besides the vob foles, what other files do I need to make it playable? Thanks
