I have two bin/cue files, that I need to convert over so I can burn them using Toast...

What programs are out there that will help me do this, for a Mac.

I know of Isobuster for PC, but I am not sure what to use and how to do it on a Mac.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

Toast will do this directly. Just drop the larger (in MB) of the two files onto Toast and it will load in the "image file" and be ready to burn it to disc.

I tried doing that, but it wouldn't work, it said that it was unsupported format.
I did however use ffmpegX, and encoded both bin's. And now Toast accepted them. I put the second part right after the first part, so it will probably jump when they meet, but oh well. we'll see.

But, I thought Toast would do it all too, but it didn't, I tried to drag it into the toast window, and it wouldn't work.

    thanks

Toast 7 will accept .cue files when in Bin/Cue Copy mode.

Well, I want this burned to DVD. So hopefully it will burn to DVD.

the whole bin/cue thing is new to me. I am not sure.
But I do appreciate all the help.

Also, CASE: When I am in the bin/cue copy mode, can I drag a .bin file in? Or does it have to be .cue?

    Thanks

I've only seen bin/cue CD-ROM disc images. Not sure if the file format supports DVD. If the bin/cue files are meant for CD-DA/VCD/SVCD, then it won't work for sure, and Toast will tell you so as it attempts to burn.

    I suggest ±RW, heh.

It's a disc image, no way for others to tell what's in it, unless you tell us.
If it is VCD or SVCD, then I would extract the MPEG stream(s) out of it and go from there. For most players, you'll need to convert first for (S)VCD to DVD.

Read the friendly manual. Page 95 of the Getting Started Guide PDF.

From time to time I searched for a solution too. Now I found Gumby at http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/22271

It converts the bin-file which usually has some 800MB into a perfect mpg-file with some 795MB. Fast and clean.

With this mpg-file it is no problem to continue with ffmpegX or -- if there are other applications -- with other applications. But I use ffmpegX.

Note: I had a problem opening the sit-file ( Gumby_50C.sit ) after downloading. There appeared only an "empty" folder ( Gumby 50c ). One minute later I discovered that the "empty" folder had a file size of 8.2MB, so I added the ending .app to it ( Gumby 50c.app ) and -- voila -- it was what it should be: an application. (But possibly maybe this error appeared only on my machine.)

Silly me. I found out that ffmpegX converts bin-files to DVD in one step: Select "Tools" and there the last one called "svcdvd" ( Select .mpg, .bin (or folder of many) files to convert S/VCD to DVD )
