How to use MPV and MPA files in ADOBE ENCORE??

Can someone tell me how to work with mpa and mpv files in Adobe Encore...I mean I can bring them in but I dunno how to merge them or how to make them work together and either the audio works or the video works but both dont work at the same time...and...I have TV shows and I want to convert them in reasonable size and not 1 dvd (like 1 DVD per 1 movie) per episode...the raw format right now is 350 mb at an average...now i want to keep the quality good and still keep a good size (in MB)...can someone please tell me how?

what kind of video format do you want? playable on all dvd players, divx dvd players?

I would use xvid if you just need computer playback and convert with autogk, you can join the mpv and mpa first with tmpgenc, file->mpeg tools->simple multiplex.

Sounds like Encore only likes multiplexed mpeg streams, not elementary mpeg streams.
So just multiplex the 2 into 1. Use TMPGEnc. The multiplexing tools work all the time (whether bought/registered or not, though I recommend registering).
Should be OK after that.

You do realize that MPA (aka MP2) files are only somewhat acceptable, not the official, EXPECTED format? Can you encode to AC3 (which is the expected type)?

Actually, Encore does work with elementary streams. If the question is what I think it is, then the person posting needs to do a little reading, this is very basic to using Encore. In its simplest form, you create a project, then you create a timeline within the project. You have to import the mpv and mpa streams into the project as assets. Locate the mpv and mpa streams within the project and drag them each into their appropriate track on the timeline.

That's all there is to the basic authoring process.
