hello guyz,
there's something I still dont understand in the adobe premiere 6.5 and its the video track.
ok, let me take some time to exlplain my suitation to you guyz...
1. when I get together my footage in my video bin, i then initiate the adobe storyboard....this is where i arrange all my scenes in the other i want them to appear...after arranging, i then import all the scenes into the timeline...now this is the problem...when eva i include a black video at the begining of the timeline, it never stretches beyond the first scene...WHY!?
2. what is A/B eiditing and in adobe premiere's video 1 and video 2 tracks, which of the 2 is more imortant or rather which must the first scene go into...that is having the black video in mind.
3. when using plug-ins in adobe premiere 6.5..can they be automated...i mean, trying to change the way the plug-in effect will act rather than just being too steady..
4. how can i re-create a slow-motion effect in adobe premiere 6.5
5. when eiditng, does it make sense using an external monitor when premire provides a monitor for you while editing.
6. what is a poster frame...
7. when shooting a film, you shoot lots and lots of scenes. i have also come to realsie that most films last for about 1hr 45mins. I want to beleive they are all planned out in the pre-production stage. my question now is this, when editing, how does the video editor gets all these scenes together in one piece to make a film. i think there should be some kind of planning sheet or something of sort...so he doesnt get confused/lost along the way.
regards,
'kk'

Editors work together with the director to get the final look and feel of the film. They go through hours and hours and hours of footage to find the right angles, deliveries, and pace to get the desired look. Through colaboration they determine which segments work well and which ones don't.
In a lot of the background on hollywood dvds you'll often here directors mention that scenes that don't advance the story get axed. It's all about pacing. If the story doesn't flow or have a point they usually get dropped. Often times things will be rearranged after looking at an initial edit because something didn't feel right or an important story thread wasn't devoloped properly.
Also your movie doesn't have to be two hours long to not require lots of planning. Short films can take a long time too.
Don't forget the importance of preview audiences as well. Outside parties that can give impartial advice to the structure and feel of your video.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
