On my DVD there are several videos and the menu in 720x576.
But there is one video in 480x576. The video runs smoothly without any problems, but e.g. if I want to show the DVD on my TV (via overlay) it totally messes up the display.

Is there any command that I can put there (or any other advices) in order to avoid that?

  2. 480x576 is not a legal resolution for DVD. You might be able to use DVD Patcher (set the header's resolution to 720x576) to trick the DVD player into playing the video without reencoding.

    480 x 576 is PAL SVCD.

Can I ask what you mean by "via overlay" ? Do you mean using a TV out on your computer or something ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

jagabo is correct that this is not a DVD legal resolution, so trying to play it back from a DVD can give unpredictable results.
