Uh... FLV is a movie file.

Do you have a particular format/codec in mind?

Any movie file really, so I can make a dvd or vcd. Nothing seems to convert flash 8. Do I need a thrid party codec or plugin? I've tried viewing these videos on several flash players, and only one of then can play them. I have flash 8 and the flash 8 player, but they won't play or convert the files to anything else.

    Thanks for the help.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Nothing seems to work on these perticular files. I think they were made with on2vp6. Is there any converter for this type of flv? Thanks for any help!

What type of errors were/are you seeing with SUPER? I've only tried to convert one small FLV, and had to follow some of the advice given on the error windows (turning off the 'Use DirectShow' option, for example, if I remember correctly).

    Thanks for responding.

It keeps showing the general error list. I tried changing the scale size and unchecking the directshow etc. It says it doesn't support multiple track files, maybe that's the problem? Is there a program that does?

you have to de-compile the flv in some cases ... even then, there are a few flv files ive seen that simply will not convert ...

If you have a recent version of Gabest's flvsplitter and VP62 installed, then it should convert via dshow fine. A version of Gabest's splitter with the built in VP6 decoder would also work, but I don't think there is one publically available.

Oh? I'd had the impression most FLVs were just (more or less) a basic video stream, and not much else. The 'multiple tracks' problem is a new one, for me.

Gabest's splitter/decoder appears to work fine here. Video is the correct way up to.

I am also trying to convert a flv file to an AVI using Super and I kept getting the general error list too.

My problem was I was kicking the audio rate up to 192. When I set it back to 128 it worked fine. See if this helps your problem.

The only problem is that the audio is now out of sync. Any suggestions on how to fix that?

    Thanks
