I Just (5 months ago) purchased Nero 7 for the WaveEdit program.
I Used the Nero 6 demo and loved it.
But hey, now, what's this!? Now I cannot import ANY .wav file I create in WaveEdit 7 to be used on the Adobe Premiere Timeline. The .wav files I crated with the demo, version 6, THEY ALL work great.
    Imagine my disgust!
(Nero mp3s work fine in the Premiere Timeline.)

Nero, Matrox, and Adobe's lips are sealed.

Maybe I am old school, but I would prefer to use .wav files in my projects. They sound a whole lot better to me. I would buy Version 6 to get my .wav files again, and maybe that's my only option at this point.

I'm using Adobe Premiere with Matrox RT2500

Plese feel free to share your thoughts on this.[/quote][/u][/i]

    Another problem for Nero.

What video format are your files? There are several programs that can do WAV. VirtualDub is one, and Audacity can convert MP3 to a WAV, though kind of a waste there, as MP3's aren't generally that good in the first place.

Nero does a lot of things, but just burning is what it does the best. I would try something else if you are not burning.

You can look here for a few more WAV options: https://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=10#10

The video format I am using is Matrox DV.

Right, the mp3 just won't cut it. I am doing voicework for commercials, and I can save the file as an .aif but I'm not sure if that's much better. Sonic Foundry Acid recognizes the .aif as "compressed".

Can I use VirtualDub with my carodid microphone and Eurorack UB802 board....and edit like WAVEDIT, down to hundredths of a second?

    Thanks for your reply.

Sorry, VirtualDub is too simple of a editor for that. It has very little in the way of audio editing. It's OK for basic DV or AVI editing, filtering and encoding.

I normally use Audacity if I need to do much more in the way of audio editing. It's freeware, and will handle WAV, AIFF, Ogg Vorbis, and MP3 audio along with audio inputs and multiple channels. But it is a simple audio editor.

It sounds like you really need a video editor that can work equally well with audio. No real suggestions there. I only do simple edits and audio mixing and filtering. I'll let someone who works with more professional programs come up with some editors that may be more in line with what you are doing.

Maybe Sound Forge is an option but it's 5-6 hundred bucks, compatible with Premeire & Matrox. Any other ideas for lower priced audio editor, I am open for suggestions, y'all.
