  1. There's no reason to jump down someone's throat because they wanted to know if a site was down. It's fair question. Sometimes people are trying to troubleshoot. It happens.

What gets me is the people complaining about the post.

YOU DID NOT HAVE TO READ THE POST!

That's right, you had to click the link and read the post. If you thought the post was going to be a complete waste of time, why did you bother to click on it in the first place?? The title was very upfront about what the question was about:

"Is anybody able to get to www.cdfreaks.com?"

But no, you clicked on the link and then slammed the guy for his post.

Who is the bigger fool, the fool or the one who follows the fool?

    Good night and good luck

When a website appears to be down you can go through
the "backdoor" sometimes. Just go to Google and type in
the name of the site. Then click the site in the list.

If that doesn't work click Google's cache of the site. That
should get you to a page on the site, and then to the home page.

I've done that a lot and it works most of the time.

Some people are born ********. They can't help it - so please don't discriminate against them for it. What they need is your patience and understanding.

    Thankyou.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Wouldn't someone spazzing about a site being down for less than a day be the definition of not having a life?

Vicious cycle, isn't it? They don't have to read or respond to the original post, you didn't have to read or respond to their posts, I didn't have to respond to yours. Let's just never respond to anything and close down every message (discussion) board, since there will always be posts with which you don't agree.

Or better yet, maybe some people can grow their skin a bit thicker and take some mild ribbing without having a complete meltdown.

  7. I tried the other day and had a 5-10 sec wait then it loaded up. I just wanted to see what all of this crap was all about. No need to get mad over a web site.

This perfectly sums up this entire thread.
