    Hello there,

I got the AIW 9800 Pro and use either ATI MMC 9.08 or MAGIX Video deLuxe 2005/2006 for capturing. In this region we get sometimes broadcasts with german on the left and the original language on the right channel... i.e. of the audio-stream. I hope I make myself clear, am not sure about the exact english phrase.
EDIT: seems it's called "bilingual broacast"...? EDIT

I would like to capture this, but so far was not successful. MMC and MAGIX (as well as various avi/mpeg2-capture-software) capture great sound- and picture-quality, but the second language is not there!
Should I change anything in the settings? Anyone got any experience with this?

Ah, I have here a similar situation with my Hauppauge PVR 150.
I have here also a sports channel (eurosport) which is broadcast here in so called bi/dual language which the Hauppauge card can't record (only language a or b, not both)

My solution is to use a (Stereo) VCR Tuner connected to the external A/V inputs of the TV card.
The VCR-Tuner can be set output both languages as a normal stereo signal (language a left, language b right)
This then can be easily converted/authored as a dual/bi language DVD.

Of course that is a possibility, but I had to use this solution before I got the TV-tuner-card, when still only using an ATI VIVO, so apart from the reduction in quality this solution would mean, I would rather try finding something else - like setting-changes - in order to use the AIW, as it is.

    Thanks anyway!
