    Hi,

I have loads of cd's and each track is .cda file, well I would like to put these tracks on my IPOD NANO but have to covert to either WAV or MP3..

Can someone kindly recommend a program (pref freeware) which will enable me to do this?

If its not freeware its not that much of an issue however it is preferred in this case but not 1000% vital...

    Thanks in advance...

There are no .cda files by the way. Windows just makes them up to represent the tracks.

    I'd also go with EAC.

Slight aside: technically there's no such thing as a CDA file. CDA is just what Microsoft chose to represent CD audio tracks. In REALITY CD-AUDIO is a completely different format from the CD-ROM format (actually, CD-ROM format is a SUBSET of the CD-Audio format), but it's technical trivia you don't really need to know.

  9. Does it have to be WAV or MP3?

Why not just use ITunes, it's designed to work best with IPods.

If you want mp3, iTunes doesn't exactly have the best mp3 encoder. aac/mp4 is fine though. Still not the best ripper either though.
